Week 2 – Detroit FreePress International Marathon prep (Jan 12 – Jan 18)

Welcome to the second week, everyone! If you haven’t, please check out the first week experience here.

Let us get right in to it, shall we?

Day 1 – Sunday, January 12, 2020
I was pretty excited for this run. It was Sunday and the distance of 3 miles seemed quick to me now. I think my running plan is really working for me, and if I just stick to it, I will be able to achieve what I want to – which is finishing the Half-Marathon in April and the Full-Marathon in October, without an injury.

I finished the 3-mile run in 36 minutes 42 seconds with an average speed of 12.13 minutes per mile.

A super improvement if you compare it with the first day of the first week, where I ran with 13.29 minutes per mile speed.

Here we go with my Apple Watch.

Day 2 – Monday, January 13, 2020
The second day was the rest day. Well, not “actual rest” day. I did go to CrossFit that day and worked my ass off.
Here’s the workout that I did that day.

Day 3 – Tuesday, January 14, 2020
This was the first time I was running 5-mile after the first day. The task of running 5 miles on a weekday sounded a little daunting to me, especially because I was going for this run after a long day at work.

The one thing that I learnt this day was it is very difficult to keep motivating yourself. So, obviously I had to find out a way to motivate myself and I did that while I was running.

So, I was using the AirRunner (I talked about this in the last post), I noticed that I could see my reflexion in the glass window, so, I took off my T-shirt and looked myself in the reflexion, and I told myself if you want to keep up with the guy in the reflexion and maintain that physique, then better get to work and run these 5 miles.

Surprisingly, it worked and have been using it since!

Talking about the run, I felt good about it, since I improved tremendously compared to the last 5-mile run.

It took me 1 hour 1 minute 16 seconds with an average pace of 12.15 minutes per mile to finish the 5 mile run.

It was a huge improvement over 13.29 mins/hr pace compared to the last week. Here’s my Apple Watch after the run.

Day 4 – Wednesday, January 15, 2020
One more rest day, actually I should call it “CrossFit” day.

Here’s the workout I did this day, skipping the run. I still remember this workout almost killed me!

Day 5 – Thursday, January 16, 2020
Though my plan had this as a run day, my friends, Anupam and Monika wanted me to join them for the workout, so I did that, planning my run on Friday.

The CrossFit workout that I did was so intense, I instantly regretted, but I was glad I could myself through it.

Here’s the workout that we did that day.

Day 6 – Friday, January 17, 2020
My previous plan had this day as the “official rest day”, but as I did my CrossFit workout last night, I did move my 3-mile run from Thursday to Friday.

I did not feel that much a pain finishing this 3-mile run. I used the same “reflexion strategy” to motivate myself and finished the run before I knew it.

Here’s my Apple watch after the run.

It took me 35minute 15 seconds with an average pace of 11.43 minutes per mile to finish the 3 mile run.

Day 7 – Saturday, January 18, 2020
Ok. We’re officially at the end of the second week. I planned my time and run quite meticulously so that I could finish my pre-planned 3-mile run, follow it by the 9 AM CrossFit workout and finally finishing it with my favorite Saturday brunch.

The one thing that I did not plan for was the winter storm. ❄️🥶

For people in MidWest, they will remember this as one of the coldest nights of the season. I still remember it took me good 15-20 minutes to clean the car and get rid of the snow sitting on top of it. It was a good 6 inch snow.

Check out the accumulation on my car 😦

After spending that much time cleaning up my car, I thought the roads will be cleaned, but to my dismay, I had to drive at 25 mph on my way to the gym, which is a 40 mph speed zone. I had to be very careful with the drive as I saw many cars stuck in snow and visibly struggling with it. I must say I was fortunate to not have stuck in the snow and safely made it to the gym, which took good 45 minutes.

The moral of the story, I did not have enough time to finish my 3-mile run and had to settle for 1.5 miles. I was disappointed with it, but you cannot do in front of the mother nature.

I finished the 1.5 mile run in 19 minutes 6 seconds with an average pace of 12.41 minutes per mile.

It was not a time to be sad about the pace and time taken, as I followed the run with an awesome CrossFit workout.

My Apple watch showing y Indoor run.

And the CrossFit workout.

Even though I did end the weekend on a low note, I think, I am okay with that. Just a little hump on the road, I am sure, I will get away with it soon!

Dec 19, 2019 – Day 19 of 30-day 100 push-ups 😎💪🏽🤘🏽

Aha! So you came back again!

Its okay! I will not disappoint you this time. Got a couple of exciting updates about today’s session.

I think, before giving you these two updates, it will be better if you could check out the Time-Lapse video from December 19, 2019.

30 Days 100 push-ups progress tracker 🤘🏽

Now, to start off with the first important thing (at least for me) is that I could keep the number of maximum push-ups in a rep constant. I know this is not an improvement, but hey, I did not slack too. So, that’s a positive, right? (well, at least for me)

good vibes drama GIF by Big Brother Canada

Now, the more important part about the session was I could break the 4 minute mark this time. It took me only 3 minutes 27 seconds to finish the 100 push-ups. As soon as I was done with the push-ups, I asked my Google Home Mini about the timer and when I heard 3 minutes, I was so relieved.

I think breaking the 4 minute barrier at this point was really crucial to keep the momentum going and to keep motivating myself.
If I would have just gone with no expectations and just did the 100 push-ups, I would not have “progressed” at all. I was glad that I took “some extra” efforts and performed better than the previous day.

Today’s day is going to play a big role in the coming couple of weeks when this challenge will finally come to conclusion.

Wish me luck till then!

See ya!

peace out goodbye GIF

Dec 18, 2019 – Day 18 of 30-day 100 push-ups 🥱👎🏽

Hello, everyone. Welcome to one more day of my 30-day 100 push-ups challenge! It feels like forever now, to me! Don’t know when I will be done with these push-ups.

I think we are still a couple weeks away from the finish line, therefore, it feels like dragging a bit. This is where the true temperament is tested. When everyone is down, this is when the champions arise and perform.

Having given that “motivational” statement, it becomes a little hard to motivate yourself after a couple of weeks, so I had to find an innovative way to motivate myself.

The trick is to trick yourself into believing things that you want in life. I will talk more about in some other post, but the gist of the story is believe in what you want to achieve and that thing happens for real. I practice this in my daily life and have gotten everything that I wanted in life.

So, enough with the talk, let us take a look at the Time-Lapse from December 18, 2019 and then we will talk about my performance.

30 Days 100 push-ups progress tracker 🤘🏽

Well, not too many things to talk about in today’s session. I maintained my maximum number of push-ups per rep number to 40. It was a positive thing about my push-ups, and I will take it any day.

The not-so-concerning thing is the total time taken to complete the 100 push-ups. I took 15 seconds more to finish the 100 push-ups as compared to last session. The reason I am not that much concerned about this is because it is just because of lack of enough motivation. I am sure once I approve the final stage of this challenge, I will perform better and come out stronger.

With that promise, I think, I will keep it short and take your leave.

Until next time!

Week 1 – Detroit FreePress International Marathon prep (Jan 05 – Jan 11)

Hey, everyone! Thanks for coming back.

If you have not checked out my Marathon preparation plan, I would highly recommend clicking here and go through the entire plan for this marathon which is like nine months from today.

Now that I finished the first week of my Detroit FreePress Marathon preparation on January 11th, 2019; The first reaction after finishing the first week is that “I feel great!”.

I know I am still at an early stage, but, it is easier said than done. More than the strength, it takes discipline to stick to the Marathon training. I found that it is harder to take the first step when you run.

The interesting thing about the human body is that once you start running, it gets the adrenaline rush from running long distance and time. Also, once you start running, the blood flow is accumulated more to the legs. Hence, Marathon training, helps reducing the blood pressure, lowering the chances of an heart attack.

Enough about the science and medicinal value of running, let us talk about my first week of the Marathon preparation.

Day 1 – Sunday, January 05, 2020
Even though this was the “official” first day of my Marathon preparation, I was ready a few days before.
The weather was super cold, so I decided to run indoors. It had two disadvantages. The first one was I had to drive for at least 15-20 minutes to my CrossFit gym and the second one was I had to use the AirRunner to practice my run.
Those, who do not know what an AirRunner is, here’s the picture.

Image result for airrunner

It is a little different than the regular treadmill in so many ways. For starters, you do not need to setup the speed. It automatically does that for you. Also, it is not flat like most treadmills.
It is good for CrossFit; But, not so much if you are preparing for a Marathon.
So, I was not happy with it. But, I sucked it up and gave my best.

I finished the 5-mile run in 1 hour 07 minutes 45 seconds with an average speed of 13.29 minutes per mile.

I know, this is not a great speed, but, I was happy with my first attempt.
Here’s my Apple Watch after that run.

Day 2 – Monday, January 06, 2020
The second day was the rest day. Well, not “actual rest” day. I did go to CrossFit that day and worked my ass off.
I think, rest is as important as working hard for your body.

If you do not give enough rest to your body, you will not be able to train harder!

Day 3 – Tuesday, January 07, 2020
My schedule/plan has no strenuous runs on any weekday. I think it is important to not strain your body during the weekday. A couple of reasons for that – I am going to run Marathon on a weekend, so my body will be well tuned with the weekly schedule of the training plan; And, the second one is that I will get enough rest during the weekday, which is much needed given that I work full time for more than 40 hours a week.

Coming back to the run. I could comfortably run 3 miles. I felt like I was finishing a 5k without any spectators. It felt good after finishing the run so early in the morning.

It took me 39 minutes 53 seconds with an average pace of 13.16 minutes per mile to finish the 3 mile run.

Here’s my Apple Watch after the run.

I learnt about the limitation of the human body this day. I think I did a mistake by going out for a workout in the evening after I have already ran 3 miles in the morning. I could feel the pain on Wednesday morning. This was when I decided not to both run and CrossFit on the same day.

Day 4 – Wednesday, January 08, 2020
This was, again, a rest day. But, I could not resist myself from going to CrossFit, even though I was in pain. It was worth it, because I ended up having a lot of fun!

Day 5 – Thursday, January 09, 2020
This was a 3-mile day. I could feel that my body was responding well to the run. I used the AirRunner again as I was running inside.

I took 38 minutes to finish this run. My average speed was 12.39 minutes per mile.

You can see the slight improvement in speed. Here’s my Apple Watch.

Day 6 – Friday, January 10, 2020
I was excited for this day. It is my “official rest day of the week”. I do not go to CrossFit on Friday and have marked Friday as the rest day for the Marathon training as I run on both Saturday and Sunday.
I slept like a baby on Thursday just imagining I did not have to work on Friday.

Day 7 – Saturday, January 11, 2020
This was the first day I was running outdoors. The temperature was in high 30s and there was not enough snow on the ground, so I thought of try running outdoors.
Starting off with the run, I was cold. This quickly vanished as soon as I completed half mile. I thought it would be good to take my scarf off to let some air in. I was dead wrong. Within a minute or two, I had to put the scarf back on and shield myself from the cold air.
At the end of the run, I found out that it is better and easier to run outside as compared to running on a treadmill.

I could finish the 3 mile target in 36 minutes with an average pace of 12 minutes per mile.

My Apple Watch shows the three workouts as my sweat caused it to swap the outdoor run with the HIIT workout followed by the Indoor run.

This run marked the end of the week. Gosh, it felt so good to start off with the Marathon training. I know, it is too soon to expect results, so, I will keep my expectations low and keep working on the training plan, one day at a time.

Cheers and here to the next week!

Dec 17, 2019 – Day 17 of 30-day 100 push-ups 🥱👎🏽

Welcome, everyone, once again to my 30-day 100 push-ups challenge update!

As you read in the last update here, I slacked a lot. Therefore, I had to make up for the lost time during last session. I think, since, we are in the middle of the month, there is a little lack of motivation and at this point in time, I just want to get done with the 30 days.

The one that you should notice about today’s session is that I did these 100 push-ups at my CrossFit gym, so shoutout to the Hines Park CrossFit for letting me use their gym to record this video. An intense CrossFit bootcamp workout was followed by these push-ups, which, I nailed BTW. 😎 #humblebrag

Before talking about the numbers and the session, let us take a look at the Time-Lapse from December 17, 2019. The most amazing thing that I liked about these push-ups is my posture. I am looking so in the zone while attacking these push-ups. I loved watching this video over and over and over again! And, then some more! 😝#selfobsessed

Here’s the video.

December 17, 2019 100 push-ups 😎

Ok! The first thing you will notice is the high number of breaks! I took too many breaks; This added up at the end taking more time than required. As a result, I took more time than I anticipated, but, better than yesterday, so I won’t be a grumpy kid today! 🤣

Talking about the maximum number of push-ups per rep, I maintained my personal best this time too and reached the 40 push-ups in the first rep without breaking a sweat. I am happy with that!

Here are the numbers.

Till the next session, take care!

Mar 29-30, 2014 – Ooty & Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, India 🚌🧳🌳 (Part 3)

I promise 🤞🏽, this is the last post from this trip!!
If you have not read the first and second part, please give it a read for the “whole” storyline! 👂🏽

So, the third day started off with the most awaited place we wanted to visit in this trip. We knew we had to visit Coonoor because of its tea ☕️ gardens 🍃 and the breathtaking view of the Doddabetta peak 🏔. The word Dobbabetta is of Badugu origin and it literally means Big Mountain! I have seen the lush green tea gardens in “those” Bollywood flicks since I was a small kid in India.

People who have visited both Ooty & Coonoor might be aware about the train 🚃 that runs to and fro between Ooty and Coonoor. Turns out, every person who visits these places also know about it. Duh! 𒂃 So, when we showed up to get the tickets for this train, the crowd and the line was unthinkable. I had never seen so many people at the ticket counter except for a cricket 🏏 game. It was unreal. 😰

We stood in line for about 5-10 minutes before calling it quits, because, people were getting out of control and cutting 😡 in line from every possible directions. Gosh, I was not ready for this, that early in the morning. 😖

So, (treating ourselves as royals) we decided to take another road trip 🚙 to Coonoor. I am sure the train journey had been breathtaking, but, the comfort 🛀🏼 mattered more; As long as we were spending time with each other. We were glad we got to do both of these! 🥰

Surprisingly, it was just an hour journey for us. It was not too short and not too long, just perfect morning drive! We enjoyed talking to each other and looking outside at all the lush greenery. 🌳

By the time we reached Coonoor, we were obviously hungry 🍕. We had a few bites of the local delicacies, before starting off with our day.

The first place we visited was the famous tea gardens in Coonoor. I think this is the numero uno attraction for people visiting Coonoor. I mean, how can you not fall in love with this beautiful view? 😍🧡

I clicked this when we were on our way to the tea gardens. I remember this was taken from the terrace of one of the coffee/tea shops on our way. A funny thing about this stop is we tried some samples from that store and liked the taste of the chocolate tea, so we ended up buying a few packets of the chocolate tea. Over the time, we did give most of it away to friends and family. 🙅🏽‍♂️😂

The tea garden was a kind of mixed experience. Though I enjoyed the lavish foliage, the place did not come across as something a guy would enjoy. 👎🏽 I do not mean to downplay anyone, but, on a personal note, the place did not excite me, so I did not click many pictures at this place. You can see my not-so-enthusiastic face below. 👇🏽

As you can see, I felt like I was trapped in tea leaves. The gals had a lot of fun here, so I ended up clicking their pictures most times. 🌆

After this, it was time to visit one more park. This time, it was Sim’s Park 🎟 in Coonoor. By now, you might have a better idea that I am a sucker for parks, forests, trees, etc. If you have to use one word to describe my liking for nature, I would say I am a Naturalist 🌍. So, coming back to the location. I loved this park. It had everything that I liked about parks. It had clean and lovely pavements, many trees and abundant places where you could hang out with your friends and family. I was happy to be around my friends while enjoying this beautiful place. See for yourself, how happy I am! 😋

I’m rollin, they hatin!!!!!

After having a lot of fun at the Sim’s Park, we headed off to our last spot which was some hilly area with many stairs. We were so tired 🥱 roaming around the whole day, so some of us decided to skip the stairs and hang out at the bottom of the hill. 😴

The adventurer in me was not done for the day, so the along with a friend, I decided to take the stairs and climb that hill to treat ourselves with this beautiful view. ☀️👍🏽

I did not regret a single bit about this small hike. The sense of happiness at the end surmounted the arduous hike and made it totally worth it. 🙌🏽🎧

I remember just pausing for a moment at the top to take it all in. The mountains, the Sun, the fresh air, the silence, and my thoughts.

One thing that I realized that day is that I need at least one moment with myself and my thoughts to soak it all in, which is what all my travels are about. I yearn for those moments, and fortunately, I got that during this trip. 👍🏽
In that one moment, I realized how important and fruitful this trip was! 💝

This was the last spot and thus our trip was concluded, or was it?

A few interesting incidents happened on our way back to Bangalore, but, I will keep those for some other time. 🤣
I hope this travel story was worth a read! 😌

See you soon!

Mar 29-30, 2014 – Ooty & Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, India 🚌🧳🌳 (Part 2)

This second part of this trip started off with the visit to the botanical gardens 🌳🌲🌴 in Ooty. After our quick “Jungle Safari“, we went to our hotel 🏩 to freshen up, change into new clothes 👕👖, and have some food 🍕. After spending good 30-40 minutes, we embarked upon our itinerary for the day.

This included – visit to the botanical gardens, followed by a quick lunch at some local Idli-Dosa place; Then, visit to the local festivities, and finally heading back to the hotel before the dark 🌚 (because, some of us – me 🤣, are afraid to roam around in the dark).

It was a packed itinerary keeping the tourist places and food scenes in mind.
Shall we?

Botanical Gardens – I had been to botanical gardens before, especially the one in Nagpur ❣️, near my hometown 🏠. The botanical garden in Nagpur is notoriously 👩‍❤️‍👨 famous as the hookup spot for the young and new couples 🤓. If you visit this place, you will find young couples in weird and embarrassing places 💋.

I liked this botanical garden as it was well maintained 👍🏽 and came across as a family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 hangout place. I saw many kids in the line for the park and roaming around inside. Plus, how can you forget my love for greenery as reflected here too. The one spot which stood out for me was that they carved the Indian 🇮🇳 map out of some bushes 🥬, flowers 🌼, and soil 🧱. Interesting thing about it was that they used the different colored 🎨 soil to represent the soil from each individual state, which I thought, was quite clever. I still remember that spot, which you can see below 💝. I am not sure if it is still there 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Lunch – Though I do not have any pictures from the lunch 🍽 that we had, but, I distinctly remember we had some south Indian delicacy – “Idli & Dosa” from the nearby restaurant. The reason I remember this is because it was scorching heat 🔥🥵 and we had to look for some place to eat. People, it was 2014 and we had no access to the Google Maps 👴🏽.

Local festivities – I don’t remember whether the locals were celebrating some festival, but, there was a tremendous crowd 🤨 to check out all the cool things and displays that people put out.
It was a crowded place and we ended up spending good 10 minutes for the parking, before requesting our driver to find the parking spot and join us later.

There were countless things to do. We had a couple magic shows 🎩. I saw a giant wheel 𐃏 too. I panned across the scenery, and saw a long line of people waiting for their turn to hop in to one of the boat tours. We were not sure about the attraction.

Here’s the line for the boat tour that I was talking about. (Don’t ignore the scorching sunlight! 🥵)

I remember looking at the crowd and thinking of buying the tickets. But, as soon as we realized the wait was going to be more than an hour 😲, we dropped and “settled” for other fun activities. 😏

I saw a couple guys blowing out giant bubbles 🧼 to attract the kids and hopefully get some tips from their parents. Having looked around all shops and activities, we decided to purchase a package deal, which gave access to 2-3 attractions. It was economical 💸 and sounded fun.

We started off with a haunted 🎃👻 house. For people in the US, it is quite common to experience the Haunted Houses during the Halloween season, so in comparison, this haunted house was “cute” 😝. But, hey, this was in India and in March of 2014. So, nothing to complain over there. 🕶

After the haunted house, I remember going through the Mirror Tunnel 👓. I thought that was really cool as it made fools of us every single time. I still remember I was trying to be a smarty 🤓 pants before my friends and failed miserably when I knocked myself on one of the glass walls – my friends made fun of me 😂🤭 then and I did not hear the end of it for quite some time.
It was fun to watch other people struggle too through that Mirror Tunnel.
You check it out for yourself. 👇🏽

I think this was the last spot that we checked out before calling our driver 🚙 to get the car. At the end of that day, everybody was tired 🥱. Even though, it does sound like we did not do many things, trust me, the five of us know how much energy and time we spent at each spot; Making fun of each other and having the time of our lives.

On our way back to the hotel, every one of us fell asleep 😴 and woke up only after reaching our hotel. Our driver told us that he would pick us up at 8 AM the next day for Coonoor 🙌🏽, which was the last destination in our itinerary before heading home.

Time to conclude the part 2 of this trip. 🧘🏼‍♂️

Part 3, here I come!

See you soon!

Mar 29-30, 2014 – Ooty & Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, India 🚌🧳🌳 (Part 1)

Where do I start with this?

Ok! Let me introduce the group first. Back in my Cognizant days, we had a group called M.A.H.A.N. It doesn’t take a genius 🧠 to figure out those were the initials of our names. We were a fun bunch of people 👨👩👨👩👩. Making fun of each other, laugh at each other’s stupid jokes, and what not. Basically, having a good time as all of us just started with our first job straight outta college. 💻

If I remember correctly, we started planning this trip, because, one of the members of the M.A.H.A.N. group relocated to Hyderabad 😥 and this was a good getaway to spend some quality time together. 🧡

We started planning and as none of us could drive and were going to Tamil Nadu 🇮🇳 for the first time, decided it was a good idea to book a driver 👨‍✈️ with a vehicle 🏎️. At the end, it turned out to be a good decision. I think and wonder about the luxurious things you could afford in India as compared to the states! 😌

We started our journey after leaving work on a Friday at around 11 PM 🌃. It was a bad timing, as we fought a heavy traffic ⛔ getting out of Bangalore. If you have ever lived in Bangalore or even visited it once, you will realize what I am talking about. I has only worsened over the years and I am not sure if the government has done anything about it! 🤷‍♂️

The first moment of relief came when we left the city and finally hit the highway. We started talking about all the random things that we did not get chance to talk about in the last month and a half.

The funny thing about catching up with friends is that it is never enough! The human being craves for more. 🙂

We were so engrossed in talking to each other, we did not even realize that it has been a couple of hours for us. People, it was 2014, so not everyone of us had smartphone; This helped us to have a face-to-face conversation instead of gluing to our phone, which I think, is rude and unnecessary. 🤗😇

As soon as we realized it was 3 in the morning, everyone agreed that it was “Chai Time” 🍵. I was a big chai person back then; And, there is nothing better than having a late night chai with your loved ones. 💖
Here’s me enjoying my chai. I don’t look too tired, do I? Oh, the good old days!! I can’t imagine staying up late till 3 AM and not yawn! 😫

After having this Chai Time, we headed straight to a jungle safari 🚌. The speciality of this “Jungle Safari” was that we got to see a couple of lions 🦁. I still remember the scenery from the “kind-of-open” bus that we sat in. It had big windows and roughed up seats (it was common scene in Indian public buses back in 2014; I am not sure if this changed over the last half decade).
Here’s my picture from that very bus.

I remember having a great time looking at all the wild animals and being humbled at the way these “animals” stay together in herds. It made me wonder and compare them with humans, who are self-centered and at times selfish. #thinkingtank
It was this day when I was reintroduced with the nature and realized one more time how much I love nature and will trade anything to be there, as witnessed the first time when I trekked at the Kudremukha. #naturalbeauty

I think this is a good point to end the part 1 of this trip.
We will pick up from here to the second part and continue with the trip.

Till then, take care everyone!

Dec 16, 2019 – Day 16 of 30-day 100 push-ups 🥱👎🏽

This was the first day in a long time, I slacked. Getting right to the chase, I took more than a minute to finish my 100 push-ups, keeping the maximum push-ups the same.

It would be a lie if I told you guys that I am not disappointed, but I think, we are at a point where I am in the rhythm and there is a lack of trying new things. Unless I try something new or improved, I will not be able to improve on my current performance. This is the learning from today’s session.

I think, if you look at the Time-Lapse from December 16, 2019, you will see what I am trying to say here.
Please have a look and I will try to explain what went wrong in this session.

December 16, 2019 100 push-ups 😎

If you looked at the video carefully, you will notice that I took way too many breaks; I am not sure why I did that. May be, I was fatigued, or not motivated enough to go for the 100 push-ups that day.

These things happen when you are on a long journey. Keeping the same momentum is very important and kind of hard. So, I am not going to cry over this one bad performance, as I am more focused about the big picture, which is, finishing up with the 30 days of 100 push-ups and cracking the 3 minute mark for these 100 push-ups.

Having said, this, I should pay more attention next time and try to improve from the previous day’s performance.

It is a lost cause to look at the numbers, but, for the sake of keeping the records straight, let us check this out.

30 Days 100 push-ups progress tracker 🤘🏽

No surprise there, took more than a minute to accomplish the same goal that I did yesterday. Not good at all. The only positive is keeping my best maximum push-ups the same as they were last time. A little bit of happiness there!

Don’t want to hold you for too long, so bye bye now!

Dec 15, 2019 – Day 15 of 30-day 100 push-ups 😌😇

Riding high on the progress that I have made so far in the first couple of weeks, it was time for me to set the new target in this challenge and try to accomplish that challenge.
I thought about it and told myself let us try to break 3 minutes mark for the 100 push-ups. I know, it sounds quite ambitious as I have not even broken the 4 minute mark yet; But, hey, if I don’t challenge myself, who else will?

Keeping my target in mind, I told myself, before starting today’s push-ups, let us try to break at least 4 minutes mark. If I could do that, I would be able to get one step closer to my goal.

As far as the maximum number of push-ups are concerned, I knew, with the correct breathing technique and pushing myself a little hard, I could easily achieve the 40 push-ups mark.
If you take a look at the below Time-Lapse from December 15, 2019, you will see how motivated I look while attacking these push-ups.

December 15, 2019 100 push-ups 😎

Looking at the results, I must say, I crushed it. I completed the 100 push-ups in just 3 minutes and 27 seconds. Along with this, I cracked the 40 push-ups in a single rep for the first time, making it my personal best.
I am one happy dude!

Here are the numbers! ⬇️
