Week 38 (September 11 – September 17) – MJ’s Running in 2022

Welcome to the thirty eighth week of running for the year 2022.

As an avid runner, I believe in the power of consistency and pushing my limits. This week, from September 10th to September 17th, I embarked on a series of runs that challenged me both physically and mentally. Join me as I reflect on my weekly running summary, filled with highs, lows, and the sheer joy of pushing myself to new distances.

September 11th – 3.1 miles:
On this beautiful morning, I laced up my running shoes and set off for a 3.1-mile run. The weather was perfect, with a cool breeze gently brushing against my face. As I started my run, I found my rhythm, settling into a comfortable pace. The miles ticked by as I soaked in the serene surroundings. Completing this run in 35 minutes and 12 seconds, I felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

September 15th – 3.1 miles:
Four days later, I eagerly headed out for another 3.1-mile run. However, today proved to be a bit more challenging than I anticipated. The weather was warmer, and my body felt a little fatigued from the previous runs. Despite these obstacles, I persevered, reminding myself of the importance of consistency. With every step, I pushed through the fatigue, determined to reach my goal. Crossing the finish line in 39 minutes and 40 seconds, I felt a mix of relief and pride for not giving up.

September 17th – 6.2 miles:
The highlight of my week arrived on September 17th, as I set out to conquer a 6.2-mile run. This distance marked a personal milestone for me, and I was excited about the challenge ahead. The weather was ideal, and my energy levels were high. As I began the run, I focused on maintaining a steady pace, knowing that endurance would be key. The scenery changed as I ventured deeper into my route, providing a welcome distraction from any fatigue that threatened to set in. Crossing the finish line after 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 22 seconds, I couldn’t contain my elation. The sense of accomplishment was overwhelming, and I relished in the fact that I had surpassed my previous limits.

This week of running from September 10th to September 17th was a testament to the power of perseverance and consistency. From the 3.1-mile runs that tested my mental strength to the exhilaration of completing a 6.2-mile distance, I experienced the highs and lows of a dedicated runner. Each run taught me valuable lessons about discipline, determination, and the incredible feeling of pushing past my comfort zone. As I look forward to future runs, I carry with me the confidence gained from this week’s achievements, knowing that I can continue to challenge myself and reach new milestones.

To summarize my weekly running efforts, I ran 12.4 miles with 12’26” pace, completing 327.1 miles for the year.

See you next week!
