Week 37 (September 04 – September 10) – MJ’s Running in 2022

Welcome to the thirty seventh week of running for the year 2022.

What a week of running it has been! Here’s a recap of my running sessions from September 4th to September 10th:

  • On September 5th, I started with three back-to-back 1.5-mile runs. The first run went exceptionally well, with a quick pace of 10 minutes and 54 seconds per mile, and a total time of 17 minutes and 5 seconds. The second run was a bit slower, at 12 minutes and 45 seconds per mile, completing it in 19 minutes and 53 seconds. The third run maintained a consistent pace of 11 minutes and 41 seconds per mile, finishing in 18 minutes and 12 seconds.
  • On September 6th, I challenged myself to two 3.1-mile runs. The first run had a pace of 13 minutes and 2 seconds per mile, resulting in a total time of 40 minutes and 30 seconds. The second run showed improvement, with a pace of 12 minutes and 28 seconds per mile, completing it in 38 minutes and 45 seconds.
  • September 7th brought an adventurous run of 3.8 miles. Despite the slightly longer distance, I managed to maintain a swift pace of 12 minutes and 3 seconds per mile, completing the run in a total time of 46 minutes and 29 seconds.
  • Wrapping up the week on September 8th, I embarked on a 3.1-mile run. I pushed myself to maintain a steady pace, resulting in a time of 11 minutes and 58 seconds per mile, completing the run in 38 minutes and 1 second.

When I tally up all the distances, my weekly total miles sum up to 18.6 miles. The total time taken for all the runs combined is 3 hours, 58 minutes, and 25 seconds. Calculating the average pace for the week, it comes out to be approximately 12 minutes and 48 seconds per mile.

This week’s runs have truly pushed me beyond my comfort zone. I’m thrilled with the progress I’ve made in terms of both distance and pace. It’s rewarding to see the hard work paying off. I can’t wait to continue challenging myself in the coming week and see what new milestones I can achieve on my running journey.

To summarize my weekly running efforts, I ran 17.6 miles with 12’48” pace, completing 314.7 miles for the year.

See you next week!
