Week 42 was exceptionally well for me. Let us see how week number 43 turns out.
Day 1 – Sunday, October 25, 2020 – WFH Day 223
I really wanted to start the week in the right way and planned to go out for a quick run in the morning, but the weather wasn’t ideal for me and I procrastinated a little bit, hence, skipping my run.
The afternoon was spent at Lake St. Clair MetroPark. We had been here in the Summer and at that time, this place was filled with many people. As it has started to get chillier in Michigan, we were among the handful of people at this park.
We walked by the lake and had some relaxed time in the cold Michigan weather.
Day 2 – Monday, October 26, 2020 – WFH Day 224
One more rest day of this week.
I had enough reasons not to go for a run today. Hopefully, I will be able to reveal in future what this day signifies. I am happy to express that I am blessed and humbled!
Day 3 – Tuesday, October 27, 2020 – WFH Day 225
Third rest day of the week. Even though I wanted to go out for the run, I couldn’t as it was raining throughout the day.
Because of yesterday, I could sleep peacefully last night and slept like a baby.
Day 4 – Wednesday, October 28, 2020 – WFH Day 226
The first run of the week came today.
We were on our way to NHS as usual, but found there were many people running and practicing Football, so to avoid the crowd, we headed to the Meads Mill Middle School.
The track at MMMS NHS was busy with Football practice, so headed to Meads Mill.
Had fun while running at the new spot. I could complete 5K in 28 minutes. As much as that is impressive for me, I did feel intimated by a few professional runners that were running on the track with me. They zoomed past me numerous times!
Day 5 – Thursday, October 29, 2020 – WFH Day 227
Fourth rest day of the week and my procrastination is to blame. I think this is one of those weeks when I am not motivated enough to go out for a run.
After the work, I went for a quick walk at Maybury State Park.
Day 6 – Friday, October 30, 2020 – WFH Day 228
What an awesome 10K run.
I ran on this route after a long time. When the quarantine started back in March, I used to take this route almost every day and for every run. I got used to this route so much that it started to get boring almost immediately. The weather changed, so did my running route.
It felt so great to finally take the same route that I used to take a few months ago, as it brought back so many memories and I could witness the changes in the trees. I am looking forward to more runs on this route.
Day 7 – Saturday, October 31, 2020 – WFH Day 229
I woke up early for a Saturday to go out for a quick run. The weather had other plans and it was extremely cold for me, so I started prepping for breakfast.
After breakfast, it was time to head to one of the Metroparks in Michigan – Indian Springs Metropark. It was the first time I was visiting this Metropark. The beauty of this metro park wasn’t something I craved about, but the trails and lake was something I could see myself doing the trail running.
I might come back here for some running activities in the future. Let’s see.
This brings us to the end of the week. Unfortunately, I couldnβt even complete 10 miles this week, but I think, I have enough reasons to bounce back faster next week.
Before you go, please check out the weekly highlight.
I am a little behind my anticipated plan, so letβs find out if the next week will be different.
