MAJOR HAPPENINGS
Took an afternoon nap in the backyard
I know that it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but for me, it is. I am a huge sucker for afternoon naps, so whenever I take one, I couldn’t be happier.
It had been almost 8 months that I took an afternoon nap, due to work schedule and weekend activities, but one Sunday afternoon was different.
Michigan weather was in full bloom. The sunlight was not too harsh to suffer sunburn and not too dim to arrest the Summer feelings. It was just perfect. We had lunch outside in the backyard. And after the lunch, it was time to relax a little bit and eventually take a nap.

I wasn’t planning for a nap, but, didn’t even realize when I dozed off. Every time I take an afternoon nap, I usually drink tea, which I exactly what I did and loved it.
It was awesome!

Celebrated Pappa’s birthday, He’s 60 now!
Couldn’t believe Pappa is 60 now. It was a sweet realization that quickly our parents grow old. Now seems to be a good time that I start taking care of them.
Big things to plan and many more developments to come.

My sisters are home and it was wonderful to celebrate Pappa’s birthday with everyone around. It sucked that I was so far away, but, anyway was part of the celebrations. It was lovely to see everyone spending time with each other and having fun!
Happy Birthday, Pappa!

Bonsai Trees at Frederick Meijer Garden in Grand Rapids, Michigan
It was the first time I was looking at the Bonsai Trees this close. When we made a plan to visit Frederick Meijer Garden in Grand Rapids, I wasn’t sure what to expect as I didn’t do my research before visiting this place. Having said that, I wasn’t disappointed at all when I actually reached this place.
This place is filled with so many things to check out that we were tired by the end of the day. You must be prepared to do a lot of walking throughout different gardens that are present here. I loved everything that this place has to offer to; But, the Bonsai Tree show was the highlight of the trip.
We were lucky that they were hosting the Bonsai Tree show that weekend, and we got to see different types of Bonsai trees from close. I was blown by their presentation as I couldn’t fathom the fact that these trees were naturally grown.
Must visit place.

Fall Colors in Michigan
Ah! What a time to be alive in Michigan.
Michigan doesn’t stop to amaze me. When I first came to Michigan, I wasn’t aware about many cool and beautiful things that this place had to offer. I am slowly realizing how many cool places there are in Michigan and quite close to my place.

We checked out Fall Colors at many places in Michigan and would love to check out some more. Some of those places were Maybury State Park, Lower Huron Metropark, and obviously Hines Drive.

Visited Blue Water River Walk in Port Huron, Michigan
This was one more cool place we visited in Port Huron. It caught me by surprise that the scenery around the Blue Water River Walk was so gorgeous, I had to soak it in its entirety.

Loved the cool breeze and constant sunlight, making it awesome day outing for us.

COVID19 POSITIVE CASES IN MICHIGAN
The COVID19 Positive Cases were on the rise throughout the US and Michigan was no exception.

The numbers are on the rise everywhere, which made me too depressing to keep track of it. Frankly, I have stopped tracking the numbers in both Michigan and USA, and have started living with the fact that the cases are not going to go down, especially because we are heading into the North American winter and the fact that the flu season is surrounding us just makes us feel like hostiles.
I think vaccines and correct restriction is the only way to combat this virus.

Fingers crossed!

RUNNING
Running has been decent this month.

I could finish a total distance of 85.8 miles. As much as I wanted this number to be greater than 100 miles, I couldn’t achieve it as the last week of this month, I spent mostly recovering from my knee injury. In the previous months, I could finish 3 Half Marathons every month, but couldn’t do it this month. I could finish only 1 Half Marathon, bringing the total number of Half Marathons to 12. Running 12 Half Marathons in 2020 was one of my goals, and I was glad that I could finish it in time.

BIKING
Biking will reduce as we progress with the year. It is starting to get chilly here in North America, which is becoming sort of a blocker for my biking stints. I am not sure if I would go out of my way to go out for biking.

I could manage to bike for like 40 miles and expect it to go down further from here.

HIKING
Hiking has also been a poor show of 16 miles. There is nothing much to say, again, chilly weather and all!

THE CONCLUSION
WEAR A MASK! MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING!

& enjoy some pictures from this month.

Till then, take care & stay safe!
