A failed strategy! ππ½πΎπππ€π‘
These three words are enough to describe todayβs 100 push-ups. I chose this day very carefully to try a couple of new things and boy, I failed miserably π‘ trying those techniques. The reason for trying new things was obvious to me. Unless I try new things and technique, how I am supposed to be a better version of myself every passing day? The reason my strategy did not work because it was just not good enough. ππ½

If you remember, yesterday, I was on the verge of breaking a 5-minute mark for the 100 push-ups, only a 5 second more than my desired target; Therefore, instead of going for it, I gave a shot to a new technique. The strategy was – “instead of going all out during the first rep, I should preserve my energy and do only 10 push-ups each rep, consuming lesser energy, which I can use during the latter repsβ. I must tell you, I WAS SO WRONG!

As you will check out my Time-Lapse video later in the post, I could not βpreserveβ that energy β‘οΈ and was hardly able to keep up with the usual pace. My arms were sore doing more reps and I found myself out of breath most of the time after 50-60 push-ups. It was a bad gamble and I am not afraid to say that I lost it all.

At the end of this session, instead of being disappointed, I was a happy person, and, I think I should be. I tried a new thing and I failed, and thatβs okay; Because, I learnt something new about myself, my body, and the way it responds to the 100 push-ups.
I think the below pointers might help you guys.
- π’ Instead of limiting yourself, you must go all in and push yourself at times to achieve your goals. π€π½
- π΄ I held back and did not let my body work at its full potential, which did not help me achieve my goal and beat my previous record. A lesson well learnt! π¨π½βπ«

For those of you who are waiting for the Time-Lapse πΉ from December 11, 2019, here you go. As you can see I could not keep up the 10 push-ups per rep for more than 3 reps. During the fourth rep, I realized my mistake, but went ahead with it anyway. By the end of the 80-90 push-ups, my arms were super tired π₯±; I just wanted it to finish. π
The tracker does not paint a good picture regarding today’s attempt.ππ½

Though I am disappointed with the result, I am not upset about it. I would remember this lesson and work harder on myself to further improve my performance and finally crack that 5-minute barrier. πͺπ½ #likeaboss

Today was not a good effort! Let us hope for a better tomorrow! It is βofficiallyβ goodbye time! βπ½
